Hello, sorry to post such a simple, "blah" model, but I noticed a lack of threads containing works made with jpatch. So here is my simple lathed djembe:

I plan on adding details later today (after I get a look at a real djembe).

And I know the center of the head has a peak in it, I am still looking into it.

Added a rim to the head, a strap, and a loop the strap is connected to.

Quick edit, I added latches that hold the drum head on. Next comes screws and stuff on the latches. Also tweaked the strap a little bit

First update in a while: The drum is the same, but I added a stand and a simple background to it. I was wondering, how do I do pov-ray procedural textures with jpatch? I want a wood background, but I don't know how to do it. Also, whats this "max trace depth" error I keep getting with megapov?

Remember, the background is temporary, but here is what I have so far:

Looks nice!

You can enter arbitrary pov-ray code in JPatch's material editor. There's currently no GUI in JPatch for creating procedural textures.

Max-trace errors indicate that the maximum trace level (the number of secondary rays shot) has been reached - this can happen e.g. if a ray bounces between two reflective surfaces - if there are no visible artifacts, simply ignore it, else you can set the max-trace-level in the POV-Ray file. See the POV-Ray documentation for mor details.
