Very nice.

Animating arms and legs will be easier in the future when the bone system is ready... Once it's done, every "morph" that rotates a part should be done via bones, all other things as morphs. The bones are needed to represent a hierarchy - e.g. when the upper arm is moved, lower arm and hand will move too, but when the elbow bends, the upper arm is unaffected.

I hope I can provide a first version of the bone system for testing soon...

Thank you, Miyoken.

This makes me even more curious about the animation system of jpatch 0.4

I had a short look to the exported PoV-Files today, and will try to integrate it to povfront, after I get my Camera-Animation-Tool running stable and extended to other objects.

I have experienced the bone system(http://miyoken5.hp.infoseek.co.jp/MG.jpg http://miyoken5.hp.infoseek.co.jp/st6.gif). Some freeware exists also in Japan. The problem is that they are not supporting POV export.
Can I carry out the rendering of this test with POV?

Regards

Yes, but it's a bit compliacted.
The whole animation part is quite new and in an early state of develompent. I've added a quick hack that allows to render timesheets made with JLipSync.
JLipSync allows to associate a phoneme to each frame of the animation. JPatch uses another text file to map the phonemes to morphs - see the demo that comes with the jpatch0.4 preview.
You could use this for other things than lip-syncing too, but it's not quite "user friendly"...

This is rendered with POV-Ray.
