Hi! I'm back. Glad to know that "bone" is supported now (haven't got the chance to try it out yet, though).

News:
I was busy with other thing and finally found some time to finish up my very first animation.

Hi, welcome back!
Bones support is very premature right now, and the development versions are still full of bugs.
The link to your animation unforunately doesn't work:
Code: Select all
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://povray.kicks-ass.net:88/3d/diver

The following error was encountered:

That's wierd.
I checked the log, I saw some people got in without any problem.
I guess it must be the firewall problem again.

It apparently workes some times, some times not.

And I was unable to play your files on Linux (although mplayer has support for WMF, these files crashed it :( )

The site is down again, but I'll try to copy the files from my linux partition to Windows...

Ok, now it works.

WOW!!! :D

The human model is done very well. Can't wait to see it animated once the bone system is up'n'running. But what really impresses me is the water! Awesome!

Are the ripples on the water just normal maps, or did you use meshes (or hight-fields or iso-surfaces)?

How did you make the reflective caustics (on the diver)?

I tried divx, but the files size is bigger.

normal map, hight fields or iso surfaces are just too CPU hungry.

Photons. It also eats up CPU time.
