to quote del boy for rc2

currently installing lots of bits to a laptop

do you really want 800+k, i can zip it of course

i'll create an archive for you in case

noticed also that materials are not de-duplicated, ie eng_texture in current and load(keep) models
is present twice in materials list, wondered if perhaps duplications could be either eliminated or
perhaps renamed DUPE-'original_name'

model check failed

Postby zmemw16 » Wed Sep 29, 2004 6:57 am

i was doing a model check fairly frequently, one before and after mirroring as well, and then did some point joing along the z plane
large amounts of zoom, almost to point where the colored points don't display

Testing model integrity...
The test completed successfuly
Testing model integrity...
cp 2648 of selection extruded points #10 is invalid
cp 2761 of selection extruded points #15 is invalid
cp 13635 of selection mirrored aa is invalid
cp 15710 of selection mirrored extruded points #5 is invalid
cp 10363 of selection mirrored extruded points #7 is invalid
cp 10753 of selection mirrored extruded points #17 is invalid
*** THE TEST FAILED ***

ok, so how do i fix it ?

anyway of making these a selection and adding automagically ?

an idea for drudgery reduction, ability to repeat last n commands on a
pair of points, like joining them with spline and inserting a mid point on spline
or select point, press J, select point, press J, select .....
daisy chains the lot with a spline ?
doing that a lot at moments, stitching up holes

This just says that some selections still contains points that have been deleted.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce it. I think it should not lead to major problems, but if it does, you could remove the problematic selections.
I'll do some more tests to see if I can reproduce it...
