Guerilla Renderer is a Reyes-style renderer with a nice UI. It looks pretty slick! :)

it looks really nice. but like everything else, it is geared to run with maya. it says free for non-commercial but that isn't quite true. you have join mercs.org to become a beta tester which includes sending an email telling why you want to download a copy of their software.

to me, that last seems a little too much. i don't want to be a beta tester.

Well, it is free, as in "beer" - there's no cost to using the product. The main thing that would put me off is having the beta suddenly go commercial, and no longer having a free product available. That's happened to a quite a number of renderers in the past. :(

i'm constitutionally ( and morally I suppose ) opposed to giving up my illusion of privacy. They don't need to know what use I am going to put this particular piece of software to.
