Blender 2.48 Released

Postby dcuny » Sun Oct 19, 2008 7:08 am

There's a shiny new version of [url=http://www.blender.org/development/release-logs/blender-248/]Blender 2.48[/i] out. The real time GLSL shaders look cool, although my machine is too weak for me to try them out. The sun/sky option looks pretty cool, too.

I'm probably not going to have time to look at it for the next month or so, but I'm hoping that they fleshed out some of the missing API routines, like parameters for subsurface scattering. Blender has some really nice rendering options, and it would be nice to be able to use it with JPatch. I've still got the old Python script I wrote lying around...

While I'm at it, I should note that Yaf(a)ray is up to version 1.0.
